Summit City Bass Masters

2007 Tournstone Fishing Outing

The Summit City Bass Masters 2007 Fishing Outing was held on the private pond at Concordia Theological Seminary, Ft. Wayne Indiana July 21, 2007. The Summit City Bass Masters hosted adults and youngsters with disabilities, as well as their families for a morning of fishing followed by a cook-out. The disabled were from the Turnstone Center for Disabled Children and Adults. The club holds an event such as this each year as part of the club's commitment to the betterment of the Fort Wayne and Northeast Indiana community.

Thanks to Gary Sanderlin and Mark Kirk  for organizing and all the Summit City Bass Masters members who participated in this event for the club. Thanks also to club members' wives who were gracious with their help. A special thanks to Concordia Seminary for allowing us the use of their place for the event and Jim Baileys Harley Davidson for allowing us the use of a large canopy to eat under.

The event was fun and enjoyed by all who attended.

The club raises money and accepts donations to buy the fishing equipment and provide the food. Our Guests keep the tackle so after this event is over, they may use it to go fishing often.

The participants caught a lot of bluegill and one Large Mouth Bass (23") with an estimated weight of 4 lb..

A lunch of hamburgers, hotdogs, baked beans, cookies, pie and more was served to the hungry kids and crew.

The weather was hot but beautiful and our thanks to all those who came out for the day.
