Summit City Bassmasters
2006 Kids Outing
The Summit City Bassmasters 2006 Kids Outing was held at a private pond east of New Haven, Indiana in August of 2006. The Summit City Bassmasters hosted youngsters with disabilities, older people with disabilities, and others for some fishing and a cook-out. The disabled were from the Turnstone Center for Disabled Children and Adults. The club holds an event such as this each year as part of the club's commitment to the betterment of the Fort Wayne and Northeast Indiana community.
Thanks to Mark Kirk for organizing and all the Summit City Bassmasters members who participated in this event for the club. Thanks also to club members' wives who were gracious with their help. A special thanks to Vic and his wife for allowing us the use of their place for the event. The event was fun and enjoyed by all who attended.

The club raises money and accepts donations to buy the fishing equipment and provide the food. The participating youngster keeps the tackle so after this event is over, they may use it to go fishing often.

A lunch of hamburgers, hotdogs, baked beans, cookies, pie and more was served to the hungry kids and crew. Then it was back to fishing.

The weather was hot but beautiful. The participants caught a lot of bluegill and several bass.
