Manitou Tournament May 21, 2005

Congratulations to Max Egley for a close win at Manitou (that 1 ounce Carolina weight you left in that last bass made all the difference!!). I'm happy to see that Doug put you on fish!!!! GOOD JOB Max! Twelve anglers brought 38 fish to the scales for a total of 64.27 pounds. If only we could have gotten that performance out of our Top 8 team a week earlier….. It was a very nice day weather wise but a little more wind would have helped! There were fish caught using Senko’s, Carolina rigs, wacky worms, crankbaits, Spinnerbaits, Flukes and lipless cranks along with some missed fish on buzzbaits. They were caught in the channels, on the main lake, around the docks and on the bare banks. The water was surprisingly clear with 10 feet or better visibility and with an average temperature of 65 degrees. Good job to all, Bill Hovermale, Tournament Committee Chairman
